The LACHSA Cinematic Arts Department trains the next generation of visual storytellers, content creators, media innovators and digital disruptors. The Cinematic Arts Department was founded in 2012 and has quickly evolved into the top High School Cinematic Arts program in the country. The cutting-edge curriculum is enhanced by professional experts who serve on the faculty and instruct with high-end, professional grade camera, audio and post-production equipment licensed and provided by Sony, Canon, RED, Adobe and Final Draft.

Over the course of four years, students are exposed to a broad and complex curriculum that ranges from film theory and critical studies, to practical, technical instruction by industry experts. Alumni from the LACHSA Cinematic Arts Department are currently matriculating at USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley NYU, University of Michigan, Parsons School of Design, and The Art Institute of Chicago, as well as many other top colleges and universities.

The LACHSA Cinematic Arts Department trains the next generation of visual storyteller. Content creators, media innovators and digital disruptors. Located in the heart of Los Angeles, and in the shadow of Hollywood, LACHSA is a tuition-free, public arts high school serving students grades 9-12 throughout LA. The Cinematic Arts department is the premiere high school cinematic arts program in the country.  Providing highly motivated students with rigorous and cutting-edge curriculum which ranges from screenwriting and hands-on production to virtual storytelling. 

The instruction and mentoring is enhanced by the practical knowledge of professional experts and faculty who instruct on high-end camera, audio and post production equipment supported and provided by Apple, Canon, Black Magic, Song, ARRI, Red, Adobe, and Final Draft. 

LACHSA

The Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) offers a specialized program combining college-preparatory academic instruction and conservatory-style training in the visual and performing arts. Founded in 1985, the tuition-free public school is run by the Los Angeles County Office of Education in partnership with, and on the campus of California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA).
